Share Email Templates Across Multiple CRMs
Introduction
BluMortgage is structured so that each Account is 100% owned by the agent, and is separated from other BluMortgage accounts. We do this to ensure data ownership and privacy of our clients.
However, there are instances where a single email template might be useful across multiple teams. The two most common use cases:
- Brokerage: A broker-owner wants to build brokerage-specific templates for all their agents that use BLU. This is a way to ensure agents align with the culture of the brokerage, and allow the brokerage provide additional value
- Group of Agents: Often under the same brokerage (but not necessarily), a group of agents collaborate and share best practices. However, they still have their own respective books of business
Note: While these are the 2 most common use cases, this article is not limited to themVideo Overview
BluMortgage Extension
What is it?
As the name suggestions an Extension extends the baseline capability of BluMortgage.
90% of the time, an extension is used to add email templates to BluMortgage CRM, but it can also be used to deploy read-only workflows, integrations or even widgets.

We recommend to only use extensions for email templates unless you have a strong understanding of extensions, or you have the help of a BLU developer.
How to Create
- Go to Zoho Sigma (BluMortgage is built on Zoho): Go to Zoho Sigma
- If one not already made, create a Workspace by entering a name (name can't be changed, so name it something relevant. E.g. Tom's Brokerage)
- Once in the Workspace, Create a new Extension (top right corner). Make sure you select the CRM as the "service", and we recommend a relevant name and description
- Once in the Extension, there are many options in the left menu. We recommend focusing on "Templates"
- Once selected, the template editor is identical to the one in BluMortgage (How to Create/Edit Email Templates)
- On save, we recommend creating a new template folder for All Users to organize these new templates
How to Distribute
- At the top of the left menu, it should show the name of your Extension. Click here.
- Once there, you can click "Publish" in the top right corner. It'll show the changes and ask for your comments. Then click "Save".
- Once published, a link/URL will be generated. Copy this URL.
- Share the URL with all BluMortgage owners who want the extended features (i.e. templates) in their CRM.
- Once clicked, the extended features will automatically be added to each respective CRM for the owner's use
Making Changes
- Templates are unique since they can be modified by each CRM owner. Other extended features like workflows, integrations and widgets will be read-only
- Changes can be made to the extension. Once modified, the extension can be re-published to a new version. Each owner would then need to install the new version

Note: Since each owner could have made changes to an installed template, a new version will not update old templates (only add new ones)
