1. How to Install and Setup the Finmo Integration

Introduction

This article describes how to install and setup the Finmo extension in your BluMortgage CRM. If these steps are already complete, you can learn how to use the Finmo integration in this article.

How to Use: Mandatory Actions

[Step 1]: Install the Finmo Extension

The first step is to install the Finmo Extension to your BluMortgage Account:
  1. Open your BluMortgage CRM Account:
    1. Your login would have been provided to you in an email
    2. Have this open in one tab, then open a new tab
  2. In the new tab, copy and paste this link into the URL, and hit Enter
  3. Agree to the terms of service of using this extension:
    1. Check both boxes and hit "Next"
    2. Allow all users to access this extension
    3. Wait for the installation loading screen to complete
  4. On the next screen click on "Connect":
    1. Select "BluMortgage CRM" > Click "Submit" > Click "Accept"

[Step 2]: Add your Finmo API Token

  1. Go into your Finmo Account. Click on the Team Settings "⚙️" Icon:
    1. Select Integrations > Click the "Finmo API" option > Click on "Generate New Token" > Copy Token
  2. Open the Finmo Extension Settings in your BluMortgage CRM:
    1. Click on "User Settings", and select your User
    2. Paste the Finmo Token into the "Finmo API Key" field, and hit "Save"

[Step 3]: Create Webhooks in Finmo Account

  1. Copy-paste your Finmo Zapier API Key in the Webhooks section of the Finmo Extension Settings page:
    1. Go back to your Finmo Account. Click on the Team Settings "⚙️" Icon:
    2. Select Integrations > Click the "Zapier" option > Click on "Generate New Token" > Copy Token.
    3. Note: This section will show five green checkmarks when all the webhooks have been set up in your Finmo account. This indicates that the Finmo set up has been completed.

These are optional actions to enhance your Finmo integration. It is completely optional to do these Actions.
If they are not relevant to you, at this time, then you can skip this section.

Stage Mapping

The Finmo integration syncs with BluMortgage CRM when a trigger (listed in the next section) has occurred in Finmo. Below, you can find a list of all of the Finmo stages and their associated mapping to BluMortgage. This is a 1 way sync from Finmo to BluMortgage. If your BluMortgage CRM has custom stages, you will need to modify the Finmo Stage Mapping section by following the steps below:
  1. Under the "Finmo Extension - Settings" > click on "Integration Settings".
  2. Here you'll be able to choose which BluMortgage Stage will be equivalent to the Finmo Event. 

  3. Modify the BluMortgage stages on the left side of the table to correspond with the correct Finmo event
Note: If the field Application Type is Pre-Approval on the Finmo file, the system will override any mapping set in the extension, and push the deal to the stage "Pre-Approval".

Team Member Filter

If you are on a team, and you don't want the deals of all team members to integrate into your BluMortgage account, you can apply a Team Member Filter:
  1. Go to Marketplace -> All -> Installed -> Finmo Settings. Select Integration Settings
  2. Below webhooks, there 's an option to select Team Members:

  3. Select the text box, and all members of your Finmo team should appear. Select the team members that are allowed to integrate with this BluMortgage account. Multiple team members can be selected
Note: If this is blank, then the deals of all team members will integrate with BluMortgage.

Owner Assignment

By default, BluMortgage will try to assign deals and borrowers based on the BluMortgage user's email address. However, if the email used in BluMortgage is different than Finmo, it will default to the Super Admin.
In some cases this is not ideal.
To customize your BluMortgage <-> Finmo user mapping, please follow these steps:
  1. Go to Marketplace -> All -> Installed -> Finmo Settings. Select User Settings
  2. Below Finmo API Key, there 's an option to select Finmo User:
  3. Select the text box, and all members of your Finmo team should appear. Select the team member that is associated with this BluMortgage user.
