Create and Modify a Template

Introduction

Note templates are reusable text snippets with dynamic fields (merge fields) that helps streamline note creation within your CRM. They are especially useful for:
  1. Standardizing internal notes
  2. Documenting call summaries or financial details

Creating a New Note Template

1. Navigate to the Note Templates module in your CRM.
2. Click on the "Manage Note Templates" button.

3. 
Click Create New Template.

4. Choose the module you want the note template to live in (e.g., Contacts, Deals).

5. Fill out the template fields:
  1. Template Name: Give it a clear and descriptive name.
  2. Subject: Note Heading.
  3. Content: Body of the note.
  4. (Optional) Mark the template as a favorite. 

6. To insert Merge fields:
  1. Type # in the subject or note body.
  2. Choose the module and field you want to pull from.  
Notes
Merge tags can be used in both the subject and content

 

7. Click on Save.

Editing an Existing Note Template

1. Navigate to the Note Templates module.
2. Click on the "Manage Note Templates" button.
 

3. In the pop-up, select Edit to make changes.
 

4. From here, you can update the template name, subject, and content, as well as insert merge tags. Once you're done, click Save to apply your changes.
